This is the life insurance amount you currently have through work. One major caution to consider is if you become unemployed, in most cases, the life insurance coverage ends. Our Life Insurance Calculator only assumes 50% for this reason. We firmly believe you should manage your life insurance program outside work. Some rationale behind our beliefs include you may some day become unemployed, you will be older, and you may become uninsurable.
